On first note, thank you everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes yesterday it truly meant so much and made my day so much better :)

The last few months have been unfortunate because of COVID, I was originally supposed to get unemployment to help pay for my college while I was no longer working as a waitress but for some reason the restaurant has hired me back two weeks ago and I am no longer able to collect unemployment. Which would be perfectly fine with me! I love my job and want to be put on the schedule, but it's been a month of me trying to contact the scheduling manager and the general manager of the restaurant I work at to be put on the schedule, besides, I'm supposed to be hired back right?
Well, they keep telling me they'll get back with me in a few days, but a few days go by, no contact, so I call back. I've called and texted the scheduling manager and I've called the general manager so many times. They tell me to pick up extra shifts until things pick back up.
Things have picked back up, all my other server friends have said the restaurants here aren't as slow as they were and people are coming out to eat again, so I called again and asked if I could be put on the schedule. I get the same "pick up extra shifts when they're open" answer. I've told them that i can't live off of picking up random shifts, I need to know I'm making money so that I can pay for the things I have to pay for.
Not to mention, every time I try to pick up a shift, it's disallowed or ignored.

So now, I have to find another job in an economy that iffy, as a part time worker with only waitressing background and a college student that about to move into an apartment. Wish me luck.
I've been through 4 jobs in the last year, one because they weren't paying me enough for me to live off of and two because they treated me bad, and then this one now that just ignores me or brushes me off.
I'm feeling very deflated and just want to go to work now! It's been too long :( and I'm am just very tired of job hunting
