@nightpheonix mine was incredibly hard to buy for too as the were very specific and I don't breed for anything they wanted. Most of the suitable horses on server we're owned by them. :-/

I managed to get a few things together but it cost way more than the recommended, but I wanted to get them something from their list.

My people didn’t give much specifics, just color, except for the person I got on the Forest server. I somehow managed to figure out their gift first though XD.

Have you posted an ISO post? I usually get a few responses from those.

I typically put some of the base request in the post and then use the other criteria to narrow down the search from the responses posted or ask people to PM you for further details. Also rearrange the order they have listed things and sometimes change acronyms to written out or the opposite and use a common acronym for a herd helper instead of written out.

For the most part I do try to pm the responders if I’m looking to get something they offered that way it’s not as obvious if I skip someone who’s responded (over the years have had a few giftees try to give me gifts for them without knowing they were my recipient lol and I’ve responded to some posts that ended up being about me) but that just adds another level of entertainment once revealed. Although I still get somewhat overwhelmed when someone posts to look through their barns and I don’t always remember that I need to go do that later so I don’t always not respond to everyone because they are my recipient.

I have been playing secret Santa for years and years so I enter all the levels. Which can be daunting but I think it also helps hide the requests from the giftees. I mix up all the requests and group together similar things like if one player likes draft bays and another prefers livers I just state I’m looking for bay and liver drafts

@Bandit1119 I might have to try looking through my giftee’s comments also, they weren’t very specific in their paragraph. Thanks for the idea!

It also helps to snoop around their barn and look through their current projects.

Edit: The comment thing didn’t work, because the only way they use the forum is to share herd helpers. Oh well, back to the drawing board.
