Abbreviations for genes:
-
such as MATP (Cream/Pearl Gene) but we just use C, or CPearl, Cr for cream.
I couldn't find them in the genetics guide, is there a list somewhere of the abbreviations we use?
Thank you. -
some are here :
https://www.huntandjump.com/faq.php#897
most of them if you click them they will take you to the abbr site ; if you " hover" over them it will give you a quick answer
and if you look at the Genetics guide you see our abbreviations on the pictures

I finally found it, down under the FAQ. I can remember at the time I saw it, I got as far as the punnit squares and didn't get past that, I got confused. I do that a lot these last few years. Does anyone know where my eyeglasses might be?
That link lists the actual names of the genes, For example, it just mentions that MATP is pearl. it doesn't say the abbreviation is Prl or E is black, Z is silver...
Thank you. That guide is still a lot more help than I thought when i first looked at it but I guess i ask the wrong questions.Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2020-07-01 15:20:51
