Yes, it takes a while to get going. This is a game of patiently working to build a stable that fits your goals.

However, you will find that concentrating on building up a show string of neutered horses that are trained and shown weekly is the surest way to make money in this game. Since every player sets their own goals to work toward, selling horses can be very chancy.

It's a good idea to train all your horses once each week and show them twice. Every horse in a show, except for the one that places last is awarded a certain number of show points. The number depends on the level of the class, how many horses are in it, and where your horse places.
