I Just got the Chinchilla License!!! Should I add A Phantom Gene to her? **Update**

Ok so this is really Awesome right now! I have been waiting for this day for awhile and now I Finally Have it(the other genes I would be this super excited for would be Mushroom and Wrong Warp!)! I think it's black based from what I have seen and Sliver looks really good on them so here's to hoping I didn't mess it up lol! Does it have to be Hom to show up as well? She's still an ongoing project and now am looking for some suggestions for what else to add to her! I have wanted Chinchilla ever since people started making Chocolate Chinchillas but I sadly didn't have the license for it then when all the giveaways were going on, I think chocolate or silver would be great (though I'm way more likely to be able to afford silver than chocolate after this little splurge with the Thunderstruck and all, I forgot she already had that on her lol)! What else works well with it?
Edit: I added the silver to her! She definitely looks more like a Chinchilla now and those dapples! Hom on Both DNA sets now(phew that took a bit I definitely can't add anything else to her though the GMT lab this month lol, she took 4 whole tokens because she's a chimara) I still want to add Chocolate to one side but don't know what to add to the second one? I have now added Splash M to her as well! She is now Hom Chinchilla, Hom Silver and Het Thunderstruck, Het Stooy + and Het Splash M so far!! What else to do/add? How does Dun affect Chinchilla if I were to add it to one side?

Chocolate is an open gene, so you could get eggs or straws from another member. I can send on a couple eggs from this mare if you'd like. She is hom Ice 1, also an open gene, but may not be desirable.

She's Beautiful but I really don't do ice 1 sadly otherwise she'd have been wonderful! Maybe one with out the Nexus so you can actually see the chocolate chinchilla(though I love it too)! Oh I love chocolate chinchilla, and the chin does have to be hom. Pretty much my fanciest horse is my chin broodmare Clover over on Mesa. I had to bump to a premium upgrage there so I could breed her as much as possible :D

ETA: If you want to make a few hom chin babies, I can offer some straws at pull cost from this guy! His only restricted gene is chinchilla!

OH My Gosh!! Shes HOM Chinchilla now!! Thank you a TON @LadyhawkeStables!! :O :x And I would LOVE straws from him! Maybe 10 if that's ok with you? I still want to add her silver before I actually breed her yet(maybe chocolate too still lol) but I So can not wait until I can, i can imagine all her pretty foals now! :D I don't think I have seen any Chinchillas with Thunderstruck before though so I wonder how that would go, has anyone made a "lightning bolt" Chinchilla before? :-?Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! You're quite welcome! Chocolate is another one of those genes that has to be hom to show (and I'm not sure if you will notice a huge difference with the thunderstruck) but they are absolutely beautiful! Can't wait to see what else you do with her!

I sent you some chocolate chinchilla straws too! Hristo should be about perfect for what you're thinking. He's a hom silver black chocolate chin (he's so light because he's also hom pearl, but since your mare doesn't have pearl their foals would be darker)

So whenever you do finish her, he should match well.
BTW, chin doesn't show at all on straight black, which is why you can't see it on your mare yet. Chinchilla removes red pigment and leaves black pigment behind, and a black horse is covered in black pigment so you can't see any difference. @LadyhawkeStables- Thanks! I'll try to give an update on her whenever I do more! And I definitely agree with you on that Thunderstruck Chocolate Chin, WOW! I haven't had Thunderstruck either so that was a shot in the dark so to speak but if that is how it looks together then it's an awesome bonus!
@Taliesin- Thank you very much as well for the straws, he's so beautiful with the pearl and I think they will definitely work well together! Oh I was wondering about that and why she didn't look all Chinchilla-y yet! Thanks for the Thunderstruck Chinchilla reference too, I think I found a new love lol!

I have a straight silver black chin stud if you're interested in any straws from him too! He's homozygous sooty so he's nice and dark, and hom for silver so chinchilla will show up really well.

(*) so happy with her now that I got that added! She's looking great so far I think! Side question how do you make the two DNA sets different from each other and not exactly the same on a chimara? I can't really afford to put a lot on her though the lab(for the lack of GMTs) so I was hoping I could use the RGS instead but I don't want Both her sets to be the same? So how would you do that? She looks better every time I see her. I really like the silver chinchilla under thunderstruck. I don't think you can make the two strands different, at least not through rgs.

Maybe in a couple months you can clone her, and play around with her clones a bit. That’s what I ended up doing on my forest sever account.
Here’s my boy, a clone of my original chinchilla stallion. With some additions He’s hom S+, Satin, KitM, Kp2, Silver, and het for Dun and Nd1.

His girlfriend who I just finished today. She is a clone from the original stallion. Her genes are the same as Gunhild except she’s hom Nd1, I also merged her with a grullo mare, and set that gene strand inheritance to 0%. I’m a little bummed the grullo mare’s color shows up more than the chinchilla, but I’m pretty sure I’m done trying to reroll for a different look.

As far as I know, if you get RGS genes, they'll show up on both sets of DNA with chimeras. There's a warning that comes up for it when you do it, and that's how it's been for every chimera I've added things from the RGS to.Formerly OscarWildin

Yes, I know it puts it on both sets but a few players have been able to do somethings like adding Hom Chocolate through the sales and then removing it from One side in the Lab so that Only one DNA set is Hom Chocolate (at least that is what I have heard but haven't actually tried it yet) so I thought maybe it is still possible to do something similar like that(maybe with different example genes?)

@HorseAngel, I understand my original boy was just chinchilla and S+, I couldn’t afford to make him any fancier at the time, nor did I think I’d ever be able to gmt a perfect horse for my lines. But a RL year later with a much larger show herd, and lots of saving IVs, I was able to make the clones exactly to my wishes.
Using your example genes. The way to get those two different RSG genes on the same horse would be to have two regular horses non Chimeras, and put Axiom blu & Green on horse 1, and Wrong Warp & Axiom blu on horse 2, then merged the two horses together. I’d personally wait to put axiom blue on until after the horses were merged to save $$, but that would take pre planning. Ammit said something about this when she first added the merging possibility but I don’t know where it’s at. -
You could do it like this.
Horse 1: Axium Green (left gene)
Horse 2: Wrong Warp (left gene)
Merge
Chimera: Axium Blue (right gene)

Oh I completely forgot about the Merging thing! I haven't even looked at that yet(since its 10IVs just base price I was afraid it would get really expensive) Thanks so much @Silverstar & @DarkFrost! I'm not set on those exact genes, they were just one example off of the top of my head to see if anything like that was possible at all! Could the same thing be done with a different set of RGS genes then?

Ok so she got a sooty + added to her and now im thinking maybe a phantom gene or two would look nice on her? Im not sure though and i don't know which ones to add if i did lol, suggestions? Which Phantom gene(s) would you add if she were yours? Other than that i am just waiting on Chocolate to come up, hopefully soon and add ND1 and she will be finished! Though if Chocolate doesn't show up in the next month or two then i may just say that she's done early so i can breed her, i can't wait to see how her foals turn out!
