Question about copying tack
-
I have tried copying tack, as I know tack is being worked on currently. How long should it take for the new image to show up in my view in search mode?
-
Did I try to change to many horses at once?
-
Thank you if any moderator can help
-
The new image shows up within a few seconds ; you can only copy from the same bone weight of horse
ie ; riding horse to riding horse or WB to WB
this should be under the help me out section btw :)
am not sure what you mean by too many at once ? you can only do 1 horse at a time
-
no, you can change an entire barn's tack all at once. You would just have to go through each of the horses to load/refresh their images.
-
you can change an entire barns tack IF they are all the same bone weight AND no foals are present ; but you still need to reload each horse one at a time
-
Search mode images take a little longer to update. Not sure what the deciding factors are but sometimes it’s quick and sometimes its the next day. (Same goes for the images in the pedigrees)Westworld's ID# 253654

Clear your Cache and it should update the image.
As for updating your entire barn, you can update you're whole barn at once regardless if they are the same bone weight or not. Only certain tack options that are bone density specific won't transfer and foal's tack will update once they age up to show the tack that it was copied from.Thanked by 1Ammit -
@annismyrph you are correct except for this: it does not matter if a horse has foals or not, their tack can always be changed.
Like the others said, if you change the tack of an entire barn the horses need to have the same weight for the tsck to show. And you will have to manually refresh their images to make their tack show up (by hitting the small icon with the two arrows under their image). Like bambi said clearing your cache could also help.HJ1 160524

@MasterStables ; I ment foals in the barn not if they had had them :)
if there are vary - ing weights, riding horse, WB ,or foals they would need to uncheck those boxes ; if they didn't the entire barn thing won't work

For my show horses, I don't uncheck boxes. They all have the same background, KD and hoof polish which transfers over to any bone weight, then I have one horse for each bone type that's tacked in their respective tack and just press "copy tack" for each bone type. The warmblood tack doesn't transfer to riding horses or drafts, the riding horse doesn't transfer to warmblood or draft and so on.
-
And I promise, foals still get adult tack if using the copy tack option, it just doesn't show until they age up.
You can see the build a bridle tack on this Colt's tack page

ugh, this is so hard. All my horses are the same WB bone density. That's all I'm copying to. My foals I don't bother with and I am only using halters, shoes and shine and braided tails and manes on my WBs. Oops, and backgrounds. Clearing my cache didn't work. Are you saying the horse must have the EXACT same bone desity?
-
That would cut my work out for me for at least two or three weeks or before my back hurts. Guess it's just not that important, but they sure look pretty when you make them that way. ::sniff::
-
Are you doing a mass copy tack? If thats the case, you have to open each horses page and hit the image refresh button(under their image) to get the added tack put on.Westworld's ID# 253654Thanked by 1Ammit

Thanks Bambi and Ammit. I will just move much slower from now on, or forget about it entirely. A horse is a horse of course of course.
-
I was doing one by one. Thing is if you click on the individual horse, you do see the change. If you click on search view option, they look just like you bought them, Westworld
-
After the images for each horse are updated you can refresh the page to see the updated thumbnails. You may have to do a hard refresh or clear your cache if you have particularly aggressive caching turned on.Need to contact me? Read this first.
