Some help deciding what to do...
-
Ok so I have a small bootstrap herd of Hom Nexus horses with KitM, but over the past several months I’ve quit breeding them simply because it takes so long for their pictures to load. I just personally don’t have that much time anymore, and my breeding goals have shifted. So those mares are just sitting there which to me is a horrible waste of space, and perfectly good breeding mares.
So the way I see it I have two options.
1. I can sell off my mares and just be done bootstrapping period.
2. I can get a new Non Nexus, Star papered stallion and slowly breed nexus out of my barn entirely.
What are your thoughts, suggestions, alternative ideas? -
if you breed them out you ll be making money over the long run and can slowly build to what you want
if you sell off quick you might not get what they are worth given the weirdness of the market right now -
When I'm looking at new foals (or at 2yos right after they age up), I go down the list and open a bunch of their pages in new tabs. I do other stuff until they've all loaded in the background, then go through and look at each one, closing tabs as I go.

Hmm. Good points. I think I’ll try breeding them to a non Nexus stud, if I still don’t like the results I’ll sell them. Thank youPost edited by Silverstar at 2020-08-04 11:21:21
