What do the color scores mean?
-
This is probably a silly question but what do the color scores mean? Like for example I have a horse that got 10.10 Red. What does that mean? I also have a few that got Yellow and one that got Blue. Please can someone tell me what this means? Thanks!Post edited by HarmonyC at 2020-09-14 09:29:22

This will be a huge help to you ;
please read it carefully a couple of times ; it will clear up aLOT of confusions
i dont recall every seeing a "green" color score before?

What will be a huge help to me? I don’t see anything to read.

I strongly suggest reading through the FAQ and user guide, there's a lot of information that can help in this game

But the paper levels showable only/failed, C/Yellow, B/Red, A/Blue and Star/Gold are the horse's breeding ability. Basically it's how well of a breeder it is. -
annismyrph - I meant blue not green. LOL Sorry
-
So am I right on thinking that B & Red is pretty good for someone who just recently started playing this game?
-
Also should I breed my B/Red horses together to get better horses or does that matter?
-
OHH shoot ; it didnt link sorry about that

That’s OK. Just wondering if my thoughts are correct

From what I've seen, breeding Yellow to C papered horses, Red to B papered, and so on, gives you the highest likelihood of a foal not getting snipped.
At the end of the day, what you breed for is entirely up to you, but if you use Breeding Advice on a foal that won't be a good breeder, they'll get neutered or spayed, so breeding within that window gives you the highest odds of a foal that you can breed in the future.Formerly OscarWildin

This is a great visual guide for the paper levels. The closer together the dam and sire are in quality, the better your chances are on having a foal that passes Breeding Advice.

I personally start with B/Red foundations, but a lot of people start with Yellow/C. Regardless of where you decide to start, I personally think for organizational purposes it's easiest to stay consistent with either Yellow/C or B/Red, but again it's totally personal preference.
As generations and paper levels go up, it gets harder and harder to get passing foals. So advantages of starting Yellow/C is you MAY get a higher rate of passing foals for a generation longer, starting with B/Red MAY get you to the higher paper levels a generation sooner. -
Thank you everyone for your help! I think I’m actually starting to get it now! This game definitely takes some brain work but I really think I like it
