    I’m a little confused! Does the next breeding season start on the 1st or the 5th? Also horses do age a year on the 1st of every month right?

    Yes , Horses Age up on the 1st of the month ; and breeding season opens on the 2nd ; to "hand breed" on the 5th if you have made an in game purchase in the past 30 days you can breed your pastures, if not pastures open on the 7th

    On the first of the month, I believe you will see a notice on your stable home page about the date (and time?) that you will be able to start breeding. Your monthly Premium upgrade payment counts toward the monthly in-game purchase, I believe.

    'Hand/barn' breeding for upgraded accounts starts on the 2nd. 'Hand/barn' breeding for free accounts starts on the 3rd.

    Pastures open on the 5th of the month if you made a 'real life cash' purchase IN THE PREVIOUS MONTH. If you did not purchase anything extra, or if you bought stuff with game money, then your pastures will open on the 7th.

    Yes, a Premium upgrade counts as a 'real life cash' purchase. A Basic upgrade can be either 'real life cash' or purchased with game money, and only the 'real life cash' one will get the early pasture opening.
