I am so in love with her! She looks like my first real life horse!

A HUGE thank you to annismyrph for my new beautiful filly that looks quite a bit like my first real life horse! I even named my filly after my first real life horse. I love her so very much. It makes me so happy to have a horse on this game that looks like my first real life horse. Safe to say that my new filly will be loved and spoiled. Or at least as loved and spoiled as she can be on this game.

I can’t even tell you how much I love her! This may sound strange but *sending you a virtual hug for her*

I think you will find this community is very warm and welcoming / helpful to newcomers ; i am not that much past newbie myself so am glad I was able to help you :)
-
Yeah. Definitely and to think I thought that Howrse was a better game. No Way! This game is much better! The people on Howrse are Rude and they’re always arguing with each other. Also Howrse is WAY too competitive! I love that this game uses real genetics and I also think that the people on this game are all really nice. I can’t believe the amount of help I’ve received on this game. Everyone seems to be willing to help others out and I’ve got great advice on how to breed my horses to improve their lines. Although I will say that this game is much more complicated then Howrse so far I’m really enjoying this game and talking to people on here. I’m still in the learning stage but I think I’m figuring out what I want to breed on this game and hopefully I’ll get there.
-
Yeah, I used to play Howrse as well and I agree with you 100 percent on that! Not at All like Hunt and Jump! This game is definitely a learning one and one that changes but with the community here you can always ask for help and if you keep going then you can achieve a lot here while having fun! I have been here a year but still don't know everything and sometimes still feel like a newbie myself lol but you will get there ;)Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! I've been playing this game since 2011 and still learn new things about it fairly frequently. That often happens when I think I understand some of the background programming and say something about it in response to someone's question, and Ammit comes along behind me to let me know that I'm not correct at all. :D
I'm happy when that happens, though, because it expands my knowledge of the game.
One thing the game has done for me is to give me enough knowledge of horse color genetics that I can go to a horse show (like the game-a-thon held by the therapeutic riding program I volunteer with last Sunday) and can make a pretty good guess as to the exact color or pattern I'm seeing on some of the horses there. When I check with the horse's owner and find that I was correct, it gives me a very good feeling, and I'm always thankful to Ammit, who has taught me so much with this game. -
SandyCreekAcres - That is definitely my favorite part of this game! I love learning about horse color genetics. I have a pretty good knowledge about horse colors but this game is expanding that knowledge for me. Absolutely love that about this game. Also I’m having fun testing out different combinations on this game and seeing what they produce. I have got a few foals already that I’m keeping just because I love their coloring.
HorseAngel - So what do you think of your namesake on this game? LOL Seriously though my first horse’s name was Angel or I should say that was her Barn name/Nickname. The big thing that I didn’t like about Howrse is that it doesn’t use Horse Color genetics at all. You just get foals that look exactly like either their Sire or Dam. On this game it’s a mystery what you’re going to get. Unless of course you know all about Horse color genetics then maybe it’s not so much of a mystery. It sure is Fun seeing what colors pop out of different combinations. Right now I’m basically just having fun breeding some different combinations that I’m curious about in real life and seeing what pops out of them on this game. I can’t get over the details that are on this game. So Amazing! -
I love that my username was in part your first horse's name lol! I think she was very pretty from the post you made about her! Again I wish I did have a real horse and I would probably call her Angel too! Yeah, Howrse got a little boring because they all turned out the same. I love learning about the genetics on this game and its still mostly a mystery to me when I breed lol, I like to try and guess what a horses or foals color is before I test them to see how close I was to getting it right, it's kinda like a game and just fun to do sometimes! And I like to do random combos to see what would happen that's also part of the fun on this Awesome game! Glad to hear that you are as addicted as we all are to it lol!Post edited by HorseAngel at 2020-09-29 20:58:11Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

HorseAngel - The only Fun I had on Howrse was breeding Unicorns. I would hold my breath when my Unicorn mare was having a foal. Horn or no horn? I had one Unicorn on Howrse that I bred 43 times and she never produced a Unicorn foal. She finally produced one on her 44th breeding which I thought was funny because 44 is my Lucky number. Hmm perhaps she knew that! LOL I also did enjoy breeding my Pony crosses on Howrse. They were a cross of 5 different Pony breeds. All 5 Pony breeds were 20% in my crosses. I called them: Pony Xpress. I actually kind of miss them but this game is soooo much better then Howrse in so many ways.Post edited by HarmonyC at 2020-09-30 01:32:35

Well that was pretty lucky then! I didn't really breed Unicorns but I did love my ponies too! Your pony crosses do sound like fun, I didn't cross mine but bred them for high GP and I called them my Heroes Of Tall Mountains because they were mountain pony breeds that I used! I did love them a lot but maybe we could breed something like them on here! That would be really cool to do! I'm going to put that on my project list, Which is sadly pretty long already lol!Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

Unfortunately on here there only seems to be one type of pony as far as I have seen. Of course there’s people’s lines that they’ve given names to but in my honest opinion they’re all just Riding Ponies. I do like what a few people are doing on here of trying to breed for really small ponies but I wouldn’t even know where or how to start. LOL
-
True, but all you would really need to breed a tiny pony line would be a really small pony stud and two or three little pony mares and then you have your very own tiny heard lolCelestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!

It’s very tempting! I was thinking of trying to breed Large Warmbloods but my attempt at that resulted in a few Drafts instead of Warmbloods. LOL At least with breeding for Small Ponies they would all be Ponies. LOL

If I don’t win him I seriously might cry! I want him soooo bad! He would be the Perfect Stud for my Pony line! OMG! I’m in love with him! I MUST win him!
