How does varnish work?

With our First Snow create I realized I have no idea how varnish works and how it would work with snowflake

Snowflake is a type of varnish on Appaloosas! And both cause a horses coat to whiten/lighten with age until they turn pretty much completely white. Hope this helps, I'm not an expert on varnishing!Celestial Angels, The Balinor Breed! We Specialize In Riding Horses & Ponies!
