Did you clear up the mess?

Not something I learned, but when my mom was little, her friend’s mom had to learn something new the hard way. Don’t put potatoes in the oven without poking a hole in them :)

Oh, it wasn’t just the oven. It was the whole kitchen!

The family was watching TV while the potatoes baked when they suddenly heard what sounded like a bomb exploding. The oven door got blown open from the force. There was potato covering the floor, all four walls, and even the ceiling! =))
