Any reason why I shouldn't? Would it devalue my stock?
-
Since it has no ill health impact in the game, I don't see a reason why not. There may be some who don't like to see that on the pedigree, but there are others who won't care....so....
The question is, does it bug you? :) -
I don't think it bothers me... Just wasn't sure if it was the wrong path to go down.
Its just that I realised that all my second gen fillies are bred the same as my colts but I love them all and don't really want to buy new lines....
I have a red line and a champagne line... -
I have lots of champagne horses. Here is a link to my color tested champagne 2nd gen stallions. Let me know if any of them interest you, and I'll be glad to put them (or him, if you only like one) on buddy sale for you.
Perhaps I should restrict that to any of them that were bred by me, just in case the breeders of any of the others or of their parents had restrictions that I may not have noted.
That would be numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 15.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2015-03-22 17:37:29Thanked by 1zzahra84 -
If you find yourself in need of some champagnes (foundation or second gen) to supplement that line, I'd be willing to send a few over to help out :)
Inbred lines are fine in my opinion (in fact, some of my favorite horses have several ancestors in common or are bred to full siblings), but adding new blood can also be fun.Post edited by Helia at 2015-03-22 17:35:02

Wow thank you Sandy creek and HiLo, that is really lovely of you to offer!
If you have any second gen red based champagnes that you would like to swap or sell I would love to look.... Might allow for so intermingling with the red line in further!
I have a few champagne stallions which I would swap for if your interested...

All are A papered, superior to sire and out of Exceptional/top notch/perfect mares....
-
Here are my color tested red-based champagnes -- any with a G or H before their name would be open to consideration for sale or trade. Lines that are marked with numbers only are in-house for various reasons, but the rest are fair game :)

Sorry I forgot the link. Ah, well, maybe it's for the best. Most of the others are amber champagnes. Here are three red-based champagne stallions I'd be willing to part with.
2nd gen A, son of a foundation C. Probably a low A, but his dam was an exceptional producer.

This one is B papered, out of ordinary foundations

This one is an older guy, B papered, out of ordinary foundations, but he carries both Sb1 and Sb2 as a bonus. I've pulled a number of straws, so you are welcome to him if you'd like him.

Let me know if you're interested in any of them. I'm not sure any of my 2nd gen mares are up to A stallion quality, so I'd better not swap for any more of them. TT Diamond Etched (sire of that first one) has already given me 4 A papered sons, not counting whatever is in this year's crop. He's amazing.

Thanks again HiLi and Sandy creek!
Sandy creek, I really love Catch the Diamonds, he is lovely and would suit my herd of mares. How much would you like for him? Or I'm happy to swap one of my boys for him. I have some chestnut and happy colts as well if your not after more champagne! -
I've put him up on buddy sale for you for 500 hbs. I'm sure he'll have more fun in your stable than mine. I have waaaay too many stallions.
