Bittersweet First *Star Papered Stallion
  • It's the end of breeding season for me and I had a bunch of 3G mares come of age, but no stallion from my two new studs yet. I decided instead of wasting the season to just breed them to the best 3G stud I have which is 4/5 of these mares half brother.

    This was the result;

My first *Star papered horse. I don't inbreed usually and I know most people dislike it, so it's a bittersweet first for me (although proves my 4th Gen can get to this level!)

Licenced for Watercolour, Chinchilla, Diamond Phantom Sparkle, Ice 2, Nacre
  • Just saying, I know of 0 people that don't like inbreeding in this game. He's gorgeous and a great quality, I don't see any downside to him!

  • All of my lines get plopped together regardless of who the parents are so most of my horses trace back to the same parents on both sides.. I know when horseland was a thing people didn't like inbreeding but I haven't seen a problem with it here honestly

Congrats on your first 4G Star! It's so rewarding when you finally get to that level. It's a sigh of relief that you made it!
  • Oof that boy is gorgeous, plus being a star congrats. The only person you are trying to make happy with your breeding should be you. But saying that, I don’t know anybody who cares if a horse is in-bred on this game.

  • Congrats! Big goal and inbreeding is just fine lol. A lot of my lines are crossed back.

  • Without inbreeding, I would have no line. Lemme go see if I can find my best example :))
  • This guy’s pretty tame for me. He’s from the same 2G sire on both sides. My best 3G stallion out of my best 2G, and he mostly got bred to mares by that same 2G stallion.

I didn’t intend for it to work out that way. I just bred the best horses to the best horses and they all ended up coming from the same small pool of stock.

A daughter by that 3G stallion out of a full sister to that stallion.

Same sire out of a half sister

Her daughter. The sire isn’t a sibling so this is a fairly diverse pedigree for my line. But they all go back to same foundation sire, except for one. And mostly out of the same foundation mare. Every foundation mare in that pedigree tends to come up a lot.

This is probably my most diverse original line pedigree. But still very line bred, as you can see.

I didn’t originally set out to breed liver red dun appaloosas, but because of all the line breeding, that’s what the majority of foals I produce end up being. DP Dun appaloosas. And usually red.
  • Wow, a Star stud at 4th gen? Congratulations on your victory! I have yet to achieve this goal myself but certainly working on it lol! :)

  • Nice! I have 4Gs that go back to the same stud 4 times. lol.

  • I have a 3rd gen horse that has the same foundation stallion 3 times. Inbreeding doesn't have any effects in this game.

I know that I also have a horse bred from a full brother/sister pair. Just happened that way because I pasture breed and it was entirely random luck.
