Top Producing on Leaderboards

What do “Top Producing Mare/Stallion” mean in the breeders club awards? I’ve been here a while but have never asked.
Thanks! :)Post edited by StarsetRoyale at 2021-01-22 21:32:23Player ID #250257, She/Her

I'd actually love to know too, been wondering the same thing :)

Wow, now I'm curious too.... I mean the FAQ talks about how many foals a stallion/mare needs to qualify, but doesn't really spell out what their foals are ranked on. Could it be foal PT?
The game does let you search for average foal PT, so it is possible to rank horses on this basis. Plus it looks like the horses that are higher on the leaderboard have foals with higher PT scores than those that are lower on the leaderboard. It also looks like some horses on the leaderboard have foals that aren't paper tested but are PT tested. Pure hypothesis at this point, but seems plausible?ID #265959 | He/him | Breeding Black Satin, Liver, and Grullo Arcturus Horses | Licenses: Mushroom, DFP2, Onyx, Axiom Blue and Green -
I was a bit skeptical about the foal PT averages, but it works for these guys in the liver club. There is a 0.01 point difference between #6 and #7, with #7 being 12.87 compared to #6 with 12.86 average foal PT. It could also be noted #7 has not had a foal this season, so a possible factor?
#10 also has a higher foal PT average than #9. #10 has not had any foals this season, while #9 has.
Of course there are probably more deciding factors, I'm just taking guesses and i had fun looking these up XD

I always thought it had to do with the hidden breeding ability score of a horse. And I'd guess average PT kind of reflects that? Not sure though, but that's how I have always thought about it.HJ1 160524

I think they need to be living and had a live foal the last 2 breeding seasons for the older horses to be eligible for the leaderboards.
They need to have 10 living foals to have a chance for a place on the leaderboards, and the placement is based on the 25 best foals.
I don't know if it is the showing ability only, or if it is the combined breeding/showing ability that the foal are judged on -
