Yay...Instant Ice... :[]
-
So yesterday was a little chilly but otherwise okay. Went shopping and came home, pretty good right? Well, well, well...today is instant ice day! Yay! So much fun.....the amount of branches that have fallen is ridiculous. Im talking little and huge. So many have fallen while we were inside and so many fell in front of us or that we heard when we were outside. Every tree is cracking and ALL the trees are weighed down by all the ice clinging to them. X_X
We couldn't get to work today because my mom's car and all my family's cars are frozen shut by like and inch or half an inch in ice. @-) So. Much. Ice!
These are before pictures I have yet to get recent ones as it's still raining...I mean icing everywhere. -
Pictures just don't do it justice how much ice there was at this time...its bad now.Post edited by Wolvevenfrost at 2021-02-11 13:37:38

The trees do look pretty, there's a nice sharp contrast between the ice and the greenery

So we were actually able to make it to work. Had too because morning shift just left without notice. (In a nursing home leaving without notice and without your relief is abandonment. The ********.) It wasn't required that we show up since we were stuck but we had to try, we just felt bad for the residents so. My grandpa had a diesel engine thing that he turned on and used a tarp to trap some of the heat and it melted that ice like nothing. The roads weren't too bad but the bridges were of course a little icy. Yesterday we lost internet connection and the phone lines but it's good today. Lots of power lines are leaning and 7 or so have fallen (that we saw).
It's really pretty but it's not good. We have lost over 400? 500? branches as of right now. The highway to the right of our exit/enter ramps has been closed due to wreaks. And it sounds like the small highway we use to get to work has been closed today but we'll see. I'll see if I can upload and get some more pictures. -
Where do you live, Wolvevenfrost?

Texas, aka What. On. Earth!? People here just don't know how to drive in this weather so wreaks are everywhere. I've lived in Texas for 10 years and never seen this same with my mom and the people here. This is Nevada weather, so I'm like what is going on?! :))
