Hello! It's that time again....Dragon Riddle Contest Time, lol! Here is the promised second part to my previous dragon riddle contest called "A Wise Old Dragon"! You can check out Part 1 to this contest here if you missed it! I hope to see some returning challengers from the first go round as well as a few new players! :D ;)

Now the dragon is out for revenge for his defeat the last time you saw him! Can you beat the Old Dragons new riddles and keep your title? Are you ready to face off with the Wise Old Dragon once again? Let's find out!

*Please send me a PM with your best answers so as not to give it away for other players! (Please Don't Use Google, Just give it your best try! Thank You!). Note: it is OK to have help from any family members or friends! No looking it up still though lol. :)

*And you can PM me for 1 hint on any of the Bonus Riddles only, if you need or would like too!

*Anyone who participates may pick out any stallion of breeding age of mine to receive a straw from for 1hb! Free Accounts also have the option of choosing a lined foal from my sale barn if they would perfer to here: (some fantasy is included as well!)

Here It Goes....................

It has been a year since you had last seen a dragon, your life has returned to normal (though you have now become a local hero in the village) and Spring was almost here, the best time of the year! Anyway, you had better focus on catching the fish now for the Big Village Valentines Day Celebration that was tonight, your so excited and don't want to be late! The only thing was the lake was sooo far away from your village. When you finally finish your chore, you noticed that more time had passed by than you thought. You had better hurry it up or your mother will surely be cross! As you head for the boat to go back across the lake the wind picks up suddenly and with a resounding roar and a flash of blue scales, a large shape drops out of the sky in front of you! It's a familiar face that gives you a sinking feeling in your gut.......the very same old dragon that you had faced before and boy does he seem angry with you (the poor thing had become a laughing stock, losing to a human). He then proceeded to challenge you to a rematch for the title with new riddles and....sets your little boat on fire! Now you can't cross the lake anymore and are once again stuck alone with a dragon blocking all other escape.........Why Does This Happen To You!? And Why Are The Fates So Cruel!? You have no choice but to play along and hope to stay alive. This will certainly be harder than last time and the dragon seems to be out for Revenge, so you're going to need all the help you can get! The Dragon's Riddles

1. What does a man love more than life,
fear more than death or mortal strife,
what the poor have, the rich require, what contented men desire,
what misers spend and spendthrifts save, and all men carry to their grave?


2. Take your time do not fear
Sadly I am never clear
My answer stares you in the face
Read me over and over just in case
My answer will cause you pain
But a smile you will gain
Today I am like a July evening dream
To find my answer you may need a team

3. What force and strength cannot get through I with a gentle touch can do, and many in the street would stand were I not a friend at hand.


4. Black as we are and much admired,
men seek for us if they're tired.
We tire the horse yet comfort man,
tell me this riddle, if you can.


5. In marble walls as white as milk,
lined with skin as soft as silk,
within a fountain of crystal clear,
a golden apple does appear.
No doors are there to this stronghold,
yet thieves break in and steal the gold.


6. I'm light as a feather yet the strongest man can't hold me for much more than a minute.
What am I?


7. Old Mother Twichet had one eye,
and a long tail that she let fly,
and every time she went through a gap,
she left a bit of her tail in the trap.


8. Long legs, bandy thighs,

9. Little Nancy Etticoat,
in a white Petticoat,
and a red nose,
the longer she stands,
the shorter she grows.


10. You heard me before, you hear me again
yet I die until you call me again.
