So I created this pretty Candy Appaloosa mare yesterday, and she has some WILD countershading going on.

She doesn’t have any ND1, so it confused me; is it the brown gene giving her that shading?

Probably the homozygous brown gene.. I don't muck with the brown gene very much but that's the only thing I can see that would cause it

Woah, there's a gene for Appy Bronzing/Color Shifting in this game? Wonder what that looks like on other horses in the game.

I have this candy appaloosa mare, she's not quite as drastically counter shaded but still pretty.

I bred this colt last month, he's a bay with no ND1 or app or brown. Talk about some crazy counter shading going on! :O
