Boosted horses breeding odds
-
Do you find that boosted horses have better breeding intacts odds or worse? I have boosted stallions and just recently boosted a foundation mare to blue papers but unfortunately the foal ended up extreamly worse than the parents. "C" paperes and gelded.
What would be the odds of an intact between two "A" "blue" foundations? -
I avoid boosted horses in general, they don't mix in well with regular non boosted lines.

It always helps to link the horses in question.
Without seeing the mare or stud I’d hazard a guess and say you probably just had a bad day, and next time may be better. As for the odds I wouldn’t say they are better or worse, just different. -
An A/Blue boosted foundation pair is the same as 2nd gen A/Blue pair from B/Red foundations so you'll get the same odds getting intact foals with boosted B/Red foundations as you would breeding A/Blue 2nd gens from B/Red foundations as long as they are bred evenly. The higher in generation and paper level you go, the less intact foals you'll get.

They are the exact same breeding ability, so they have the best chance of a intact foal. Same as an expro/expro breeding or an perfect foundie/perfect foundie breeding. The chance of an intact foal goes down exponentially to the gap between the parents' breeding ability.ID 195859

Ok thank you, thats kinda what i thought but i just didnt get lucky. She wasnt in pasture but next season she will have the full pasture bonus and hopefully get a really good colt out of the two.

I had another unlucky year with the two boosted founders with a foal somehow resulting in a low yellow/C .
I think the new mare somehow jinks my pastures. Lol most of my second gen and first gen I've bred ended on the worse to parents scale and the ones that passed somehow missed the genes that I breed for . @-) so I'm thinking next season just using eggs from her. And I guess it'll be a good season to keep cleaning out the barns as I've sorted through over 100 mares last week.
