This Surprised Me for some reason
-
I found a Texas Tea Rank Special when I first went to the Create a Horse page today. Someone took the single share, so I had two horses to make.
This first one seemed normal for the herd helper.
Texas Tea Katy Delight
But the second one had me puzzled, until I double checked that the only genes specified were splash and frame.
Texas Tea Austin Surprise
Truly an example of extreme black tea. :D
It is indeed a relatively rare occurrence. In the first 6 out of 23 pages I found 14 black based horses out of 150 Texas Teas.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2021-04-03 15:05:49 -

Lovely ladies, all three!
I'm just so used to seeing red based Texas Teas that I was astonished.
The only other black one I have was a gift last Christmas season, so she slipped into my stable without making an impression among all the others appearing at that time.
Here she is.
