Testing question
-
If I have tested my foals against the sire and they are all aga the father does that mean they are all aga each other too, or do I have to test the foals against each other?
-
Unless the Dam is the same ; there will be differences in the foals and you should test them against each other
-
If you'll post links to the horses, we might be able to figure out more and maybe save you a comparison test or two. No guarantees, though!
-
No they are not guaranteed to all test as good as each other.
Some could be higher than the sire and some lower but still, all be aga him.Need to contact me? Read this first.

Thanks guys! I was thinking I still needed to test against each other but wanted to save the hbs if I didn't :)

They can test better than each other.. I start out with B/Red foundations and my second gens HAVE to test A/Blue but obviously I'll get B/Reds when breeding (I've stopped keeping those foals to up my quality)... However you can have B/Reds test superior/AGA to their parents and test as good as their A/Blue siblings and those are the horses that are typically 1-3% away from being A/Blues. If the B/Red foals have what I'm looking for and they test AGA their A/Blue siblings, I'll fork out the 50-150 IVs to boost them to A/Blue keeping them on par with what I breed for.. if they test AGA to their parents but worse than the A/Blue sibling, I don't even bother with trying to keep them because they are too close in quality to their parents and not the higher quality sibling and may not meet the A/Blue benchmark even with a 5% boost.
So in short, yes they can be better quality than their siblings but if they are all testing AGA their parents it'll be hard to tell where exactly they stand unless you test them to a higher quality horse of the same generation -
Personally I would just wait and get a superior colt.Need to contact me? Read this first.

Due to limited space and wanting to improve my lines, plus comp testing adds up in hbs. I only keep Superior offspring to breed. I will then comp test colts against the stud they will eventually replace to make sure I'm not getting rid of a better line.
