Making a custom horse header
-
I'm curious in making my own header for my horses like I've seen others do. I've never made anything like this before so I'm just curious to see what others have used to create theirs and what the process might be like.
Thanks! -
Personally, I used gimp (a free image manipulation program). It is not the most user-friendly software I've ever come across but there are some good youtube tutorials out there. I'd be curious what others use.
I started by creating an image size that fit (500 px by 150px). Then I picked out a few of my horses that I wanted to feature. After removing their backgrounds and positioning them, I played around with text to find something that showed up well.
After that, I was going to do a more complex background but realized that I was already over the max image size (15kbs). So I went for something very simple and had to reduce my overall image quality.
That would be my big recommendation when planning - try to keep things simple so that you don't have to reduce image quality too much when uploading.
I'll be going back soon to improve my first attempt which was a bit rushed, so if you'd like any help doing yours, just let me know!ID #265959 | He/him | Breeding Black Satin, Liver, and Grullo Arcturus Horses | Licenses: Mushroom, DFP2, Onyx, Axiom Blue and Green
