Rant- people are so insensative.

    So 4yrs ago my 14yr old cousin and her 13year old friend were found murdered in Delphi Indiana, (look up Delphi murders I remember the day my mother called me to tel me they found their bodies and I broke down crying). They are looking into a guy they arrested for imprisiong a 9yr old girl in his basement (inside edition covered all this). One comment on one video said they were glad they never gave up on the case, and one guy said they did for a while (which is a load of absolute horse crap) I said to him they never did cause there was a video by inside a year ago about it. Well this idiot had the audacity to say “if only they were this concerned with black and brown people” I told him to not bring race into this and that it was a low blow to go to that. He then said “the truth hurts I know also don’t tell me what to do”

    I straight up told him that was my cousin, and I’m by far racist at all. 3 of my 5 nephews are mixed (and some of the best kids ever). So for him to bring race into it was a cheap move. But was it wrong of me to tel him to not bring race into it?

    You were definitely not in the wrong to tell him that, race has nothing to do with the tragic and brutal loss of human life. While I definitely agree that there is an endemic about the treatment of poc this was not an instance where there was any degradation of poc or any ethnicity for that matter. Poc or not, every life has value and we are all just as important as the next. What he said was inappropriate and incredibly, like you said, insensitive and I'm really sorry he chose to be nasty and invalidate what happened to your cousin. That guy was just a jerk, plain and simple.

    I'm so sorry for your loss and I can't imagine the grief that you continue to feel.

    He had no right to make it about something else that wasn't relevant to you or to the case. Murder is still murder, regardless, no matter who it happened to. Yeah, I would have been very blunt about it if it was me who had my feelings invalidated. So sorry that happened to you.

    That is horrible for you to have to go through and deal with on all sides. I’m sorry. Were you wrong to go off on him? Not at all he was trying to degrade their life’s worth with his words. Judging a murder by the color of skin is shallow, and shows a lack of compassion for the death of another human. All life is precious, and to me there is only one race The Human Race. We don’t judge horses or dogs by the color of their coat, or designate a race for each of their colors, it’s sad that I have to use an animal comparison because humans are so petty. I’m praying for you, and if you want to rant in private my box is open to you.

    That is horrible :( . Soo sorry for your loss! A family's worst night mare. You were certainly not in the wrong. He is. Some people look for reasons to argue and use cheap things to try winning the fight. Sometimes I worry about our type. "humans". I work for the sheriff's department and see and hear alot of what most society doesn't. The things people do or say.
