Cloning a stud from deactivated account

Is there a way to clone a stallion that was bred by a now deactivated account? Also I thought that all horses from deactivated accounts were marked from an old friend and you were able to reregister them. But I could be wrong.

Only merged accounts are marked that way. You would have to merge the account then reregister the horse, then you could clone it.Need to contact me? Read this first.

The answer is still the same. The only way to clone a horse from an account other than your own is to merge the account.

This may be a stupid question. If the account is deactivated, why isn't where the breeder's name is showing a black like most other horses?
I understand what you are telling me that I can't merge. But I am just curious about what happens when the account has been deactivated.
Blame the covid for stupid questions and just got my 1st needle yesterday -
Deactivated means the owner has turned it off. It is not deleted. It is still a very real account and they can still reactive it if they choose.Need to contact me? Read this first.
