I did a horse search and ice seems to manifest heterozygously (which apparently isn't a word, shut up spell check) anyway what determines dominance if you have two different ice alleles like I/5?Licensed for:

If a horse has two ice genes it will show both. You can also use the search to see lots of combos. :)Need to contact me? Read this first.

Ah thanks, I did search that but I find the differences between ice types very subtle even when cross referencing w/ the gene guide and had difficulty working out by eye which gene(s) was at play.Post edited by boredaf at 2021-05-06 11:39:52Licensed for:

From personal experience I know Ice 9 turns Ice 13 black, so instead of white snowflakes, you get black ones. Ice 20 is the only one I know of that covers all the other ices, as it was made to melt them.Thanked by 1boredaf

Ooh thanks for the heads up, *searches 9/13 combo* That looks awesome, another breeding goal when I get around to ice licences. :D. Also good to know about 20 it would have been bad if I accidentally melted a horse lol.

This is a big project. I love ice 4 now.
As for ice 20 here was part of its introduction post, and why it doesn't show other ice genes.It is a fully dominant gene that only needs one copy to show and will completely melt away and hide any other copies of ice the horse might also have. It also slushes out the base color-shifting everything towards gray. Keep this in mind as it will leave strong gray markings on pale horses.Thanked by 1boredaf -
