So I have a few rank specials that are not popular types (a few Candy Appaloosas, Day at the Beach, etc.) and not ones that have anything I'm particularly breeding for. I could auction them as-is, but tend to just sell for the create price and I'd prefer to make a profit it possible. But I feel bad spaying/gelding a specialty horse to make it a show horse. What are y'all's opinions?

Well I find your question kinda funny since Candy Appaloosas are one of the HH i buy the most, and would be interested in yours if you posted a link.

My own question would be how much are you trying to sell them for? Because the quick look I took through a couple rank special sale pages were very overinflated prices. And the two RS that you mentioned are actually fairly popular.

But to answer your real question. No it’s not a bad thing. I probably have at least a dozen rank specials in my show barns.

@Ammit you always make me feel better about it, haha!

@Silverstar usually I post them as forum auctions, honestly, because I found it very hard to genuinely tell their worth from the market for that exact reason. Last time I just put all the rank specials I didn't want in a barn, posted a link to it and basically said "make me an offer" and no one bit at all, haha. But I'll message you real quick and if you want them for a reasonable price for both of us, I'll sell them to you rather than spay/geld them.
