Does anyone have any tips on how to resolve my issue? :))

I've slowly been going through my foals but I fill up more than one barn each season and my horses aren't quite old enough to start dying yet.

sort tham by show placement ; if they are consistintly in the bottom 2 ; you certainly can cull them ; if they PT under 10 as well ; even better PT under 10.5

I had started to cull by colour and PT but perhaps I missed some. Will do another take! See if the info below is useful for anyone.

2yr olds:
Culled up to 10.5 PT (26 culled)
Exceptions: 3x well coloured Blue papered mares (2nd gen)

3yr olds:
Culled up to 10.5 PT (2 culled)
Exceptions: 2x well coloured Blue papered mares (2nd gen)

4yr olds
Culled up to 10 PT (5 culled)
Exceptions: 1x well coloured Blue papered mare (2nd gen)

5yr olds
Culled up to 10 PT (7 culled)
Exceptions: None

>=10yr olds
Culled by low placings - consistently in bottom 2 (54 culled)
Culled by 8L (8 culled)

- Will keep updating as I move back through my horse ranks.

33 auctions is 80000 hb which is 6iv and change that's enough for a 15 stall

If you have any 10 and overs start sending them to auction for a quick payout.

You honestly could send a lot of oldies to the auction, send everything in level 8L as that is a low point payout. I sent in a ton of aged show horses, make nearly 8 million, converted to IVs for the gift exchange. My daily payout only took about a 50k hit, which isn't bad.

I use the Sort by Points This Year at the end of the year. It would be useless right now since we are starting the year.

Concentrate on culling the older horses that did not work out and less energy culling young horses.

@boredaf At the moment I am filling a 200+ barn each month with foals, but of course every little helps. :D

Sorted out 94 horses, hopefully that'll be enough until next season, am growing at a faster rate than I shrink. :O

Quick question. Does the public auction bidder buy horses over 10 for their lifetime payout? or something like that

Exactly, it pays the lifetime payout.

@Humboldt I forgot about 8L, 6 horses to cull from 8L as the rest are still not levelled off.

Well the only suggestion I'd contribute is that if you're willing to scale things back a bit with your breeding program that might also help reduce the number of foals you have coming in. I recently switched from breeding pastures of 50 to 30 and it honestly was one of the better decisions I made - I can afford to do more comp testing and I don't have to make as many tough calls on keepers. Don't know exactly what your breeding goals are, so this might not work right for you, but figured I'd throw it out there.
