The Perfect Horse for a Beginning Jumper
-
Sometimes the name generator is remarkable.
Evidently this gelding I created will be the perfect horse to help teach beginning jumpers. I'm proud to introduce Carefully Faster, a gentle teacher who never scares his rider by approaching a jump too quickly. :D

I have a premium upgrade. I see that you have a Basic upgrade. The name generator may be a feature of the premium upgrade, if you're not seeing it on your barn pages, in the bottom section below the list of horses.
Anyway, Ammit collected a lot of words and put them into a database. The name generator pulls a word from that list for each time a player enters the symbols @* . Sometimes I make some changes so that the suggested name is more reasonable, but the one for that horse didn't need any changing at all.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2021-07-08 12:18:07 -

It's a relatively new feature, probably introduced sometime early in 2020. At least, I'm seeing show horses that are 17 years old in my barns that have names that look like they were produced by the name generator, while the 18 year old neuters seem to be following my former habit of naming lined neuters with names starting with letter found in their sire's or dam's names, depending on the gender of the foal.
The 18 year olds were born in February of 2020. The 17 year olds in March of 2020. -
I use the name generator for all my geldings/spays. Sometimes the names it comes up with are very entertaining, and sometimes they are really appropriate - like yours. Our pixel ponies can often seem real, and having a back story certainly helps fuel our addictions! :)Thanked by 1SandyCreekAcres

Where do you find the name generator?ID: 273497

I think it might be a feature that comes with the Basic and Premium upgrades.
Here's a link to one of the online horse name generators.

I’ve got a premium account and have never been able to find it. I also play on mobile so that could be why
-
It's on your main barn page where you can name your horses. It says "template" and to insert the "@" sign for a random word. I'm not sure if it is a premium feature or not.Post edited by Mensie at 2021-08-26 13:46:08Bluegrass 272432 | Forest 54250 | Mesa 9056

You do have to do it within the barn pages ; it is not a feature on the actual horse page :)

Oh wow I did it!
