Appaloosa and Frame?
-
I thought that frame didn't affect appaloosa, but here's a frame appaloosa that definitely is showing the effect of frame. Is it possible that it's working on the White 20 that she also carries?
She's pretty special, whatever the reason.

Yeah, I think the frame is acting on the White20 to white out the appy spots. I noticed some of my regular creates coming out with big frame markings and I was curious which genes they happened to get to cause that, so I tested them and it was always W20 and frame.

Frame does not act on appaloosa. But appaloosa spots will never show in areas whited out by pinto markings. Frame would look the same on this horse regardless of having LP and same is true for the other way around.Post edited by Ammit at 2021-09-08 16:10:16Need to contact me? Read this first.

Thanks, Ammit, for confirming my suspicions. I'm really pleased with the way she looks.

That’s why most appaloosa breeders IRL avoid any other white mutations if possible. They can cover up the leopard complex expression, which is undesirable to most appaloosa breeders :)I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!
