What does "top-producing" mean?
  • I've been here a while, but I haven't really paid much attention to the Breeders Clubs until the updates. I found the section in the FAQ about qualifications to get stallions and mares on the "top-producing" leaderboards (i.e., number of foals), but what does top-producing actually mean? How can you work to get a certain horse/horses on these boards?

    Thanks! :)

  • No one knows the exact formula, other than those horses produce the "best" foals. I don't even know it because I set it up years ago and don't remember.

  • Ha! :))
So being up there is probably just a matter of comparison testing and using better and better stock each generation, I reckon.
    Thanks Ammit! :)

  • That’s how I got there. I joined during era 7, and as soon as I saw one of my horses hit the board, I tightened my quality and got rid of all other eras so I could develop that one.

I have a bunch of different Eras now, but you could give that a try with the current era or the next new one. Focus on a line, do tons of comparison testing, be super strict with your quality, and see what happens. :D

It’s a fun challenge! It keeps me more interested than just colour. All my colour-specific lines dwindle out because I loose interest. I seem to be doing well incorporating colour in now that I have my system worked out, though, with leaderboard horses. We’ll see!
