Perfect vs exceptional?
-
I'm having trouble figuring out what the difference is in foundation horses that are perfect compared to exceptional?
One I got as a create today was "exceptionally perfect", and said it would be better in both showing and breeding. I have plenty of "exceptional producers", which in my mind should mean that the foals outdo the dams. Is "perfect" just the word for a better show horse, compared to "exceptional" referring to breeding? So the combination of the two meaning they will excel in both?
-
Exceptionally perfect means the horse is both an exceptional producer and exceptional show horse. Both breeding abiltiy and show ability are 105%
If the horse is an exceptional producer, than their breeding ability is 105% but varying show ability.
Exceptional show horses have 105% showing ability but varying breeding ability.
A perfect foundation has 100% breeding ability.Thanked by 1Nightphoenix -
A quick correction to the post above. Exceptional Show Horses have PT scores ranging from 10.0 to 10.4. They may be consistent or inconsistent. Their breeding ability does vary. I usually neuter them all, though, even the ones that paper C or Yellow.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2021-10-18 06:37:13Thanked by 1Nightphoenix

A couple of weeks ago, I got a whole slew of 10.4 PT Exceptional Producers. Did I kind of win the genetic lottery with those?
Thanks for the info! -
@lecobb Exceptional Producers never have a PT of 10.4. You must have confused them for a different kind of exceptional HH.Need to contact me? Read this first.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

It seems that all Exceptional Producing Appaloosa horses actually have PT of 10.40, so would this be just a woopsie in the game?
-
so under My Herd Helpers Section in the Stable Overview Tab of the Members page ; you will find this explanation, as you can see it also triggers XPerf ; which is a 10.4 PT score
Exceptional Producing Appaloosa
All horses will be exceptional producers and have at least one copy of appaloosa.
