    So this is my first month breeding my SWN Stud and i got a weirdly colored colt from him :
    it says he is a red roan but he looks really yellow to me ; is this typical of the SWM ?

    Macchiato has a dilution effect in addition to splash so I would guess so, (I don't have the lic yet) that said I can't see any roaning but that is probably just the high white plus the extremely light base coat obscuring it.

    Yes, the base coat lightens with Splash M, as if you added creamer to a coffee.

    Yup it does. I have a liver chestnut that doesn't really look dark with SWM . She's homozygous for sty plus and DP so she would have been really dark but with the KP and SWM she looks like a chocolate palamino!

    Thank you all :) I guess since I put it on a BlueRoan Tobiano I didnt realize how much they would bleach out chestnuts
