I was using this horse to test some things out but I'm still confused.

M Sailors Delight

I used near fore sock to try to figure out which colors go where. I would assume that near foresock meant it only affected the front right foot but color one appears on the back foot. Is this a glitch, or am I doing something wrong?

The look I'm going for is this but black/red instead of black/white

I don't have this pack myself, but from previous forum discussions, each hex color is for a different leg (I think it works:1st color on the near fore, 2nd color on the rear, 3rd color on the off fore). The designation of 'sock' puts the color you choose at the top on the leg indicated, then adds a gradient to a white sock below it. I don't think that you can put a second color other than white on the floof of the same leg.

That's helpful on a practical level. I am still confused because there are also 'all sock' options (I used one on the second horse pictured) so I'm not sure why the options that aren't marked 'all' seem to affect all 4 feet.

All of the options will put floof on all 3 visible feet in the colors you select, the "sock" designations allow you to choose which feet have white below your chosen colors. "All sock" will put a white sock below your chosen colors on all feet.
