Hello all experienced gifters. If I was to purchase a rare gene for my giftee, and would like to use it to modify one of the gifts, how do I go about that? Gene I am interested not available today but hoping it will show up.

If you own the horse, you add it as your normally would an RGS gene. When gifting opens, there is a place to enter the horse ID formit to automatically transfer the horse and the gene license to your giftee.

So would this mean that if I made a horse with a gene my giftee doesn't have and I gave them that horse, would it give them the license?

Exactly!. But just for foundations/genes that have been added via RGS or GMT lab.

The transfer would not work for a lined horse if they do not already own the license.

Ok, great, thanks! I think I've got a surprise for my giftee coming ;) Even at level 1 I am loving planning how I will spoil my giftee!
