This is purely hypothetical, at least for now, but I am curious. What happens if a gifter doesn't uphold their gift giving duties?

Yeah; I didn’t sign up for the exchange this year, but I’m waiting for the call for people to do makeup gifts!

I didn't sign up in time and it would have been my first year. I got distracted with my college degree schoolwork so I missed the deadline, but I'm Willi g to try to help out anyway I can!

So if that happens, would you say something during the exchange or after? I suppose some people might wait until the very end to shower with gifts possibly.

A lot of people wait till the day of to give gifts, the suspense is all part of it, so I never worry till after.

Open gifting starts the 23rd I believe and would last a week ? So there is still al ittle time :) Maybe the person is waiting to give one super special all powerful Unicorn of a gift :)

I was just curious! I wasn't implying anything. The thought just crossed my mind that surely, at some point, people had not received gifts, and I was curious what would happen.

Depending on why gifts might not have been sent, the sender could also lose their rank on the Gift Exchange.

It is very rare for it to happen these days because of how the exchange works now. Last year between all three servers it only happened to a single player. It was much more common when the gift exchange was less regulated. :)

Ahhhh! That makes sense! Glad to hear it's a rare occurrence! Everybody seems super awesome here, so I'm not surprised!
