Well, I went through almost how long since this pandemic started without getting Covid and it finally hit me, and my husband. He's vaccinated so we're hoping it doesn't get too bad with him and I'm almost better except for a headache and some sore muscles. I am quite bummed though, we will be missing my families New Years Eve party and also missing work which is stressing me out because Christmas has put us behind a bit money wise.
I was hoping to add some goodies to this lady after spoiling my giftee but doesn't look like it'll happen.

Sorry to hear that, hope that you're both feeling better soon! Got to say, your mare looks really cool, good luck finishing her up.

I ended up having a virtual holiday season myself but still managed to set up a boardgames night which was nice. I also finally bred my 2nd gen horses and got a couple foals I'm quite pleased with.

I got the rona 3 weeks ago, my hubs also got it shortly after. We made out just fine thankfully, only some nasty sniffles and lost our taste/smell. We're home-bodies so the quarantine didn't bother us much, just slept a lot lol Got our taste back already too! I hope you and your hubs make it through just fine as well! Tylenol and a humidifier are your best friends.

I'm not too deep into anything right now but I'm staring at about 30 foundation mares that I intended to GMT this past month but never did... daunting... daunting....

@kgstable my condolences on catching covid. : (
I tested positive for covid today as well. Thankfully none of my family members have tested positive as of yet, but sadly my catching the illness means that my grandparents cannot come visit as they had planned to. I'm really hoping that I will test negative in time to return to my college...fingers crossed.

@ichigo Glad it wasn't too bad! Thankfully we haven't lost any smell or taste, just some bad aches all over! Been taking Tylenol every day as well haha and lots of water, sadly we don't have a humidifier but I bet that would do wonders

@Xzeina We're hoping no family members catch it either, they are quarantining for the allotted days until they are for sure though just to be sure!

I love seeing everyones projects and lines! Keep em' coming! :)

@kgstable hot steamy showers and/or baths help too, I would cup hot water in my hand and snort it into any working nostril I could. It's amazing. And you'll be amazed and afraid of what comes out.

@ichigo Yes! We've been taking hot baths for sure and drinking hot tea with honey to help keep other symptoms away!

I hope you both feel better soon, our household sadly got COVID right before Christmas. Since all our kids were going to be together for Christmas this year, we were pretty bummed out about it. Thankfully everyone is feeling better.
Hot sweet tea has been great for my throat, especially the peach herbal tea. The biggest thing is to keep your fluids up and eat even when you don't want to. Here's to a quick recovery.

Thank you amber! So sorry to hear about your family, I hope you still have a good Christmas. I've been drinking water with added electrolytes and last night I had some sleepy tea with honey and might try some of my new orange spice tea with honey tonight

@bluchrystals That's a great idea! Thank you, I don't know why I forgot about it, I used to do that all the time with lemon water and it helped my face and aches. I'll get my hubby to do it, he's struggling with head pounding right now, he's about 2 days behind me symptom wise :(

My mom and dad heat with wood and my mom always had a pan on the stove when I was growing up! Wood heat burns hot...and dry, the steam helped keep us all open during a cold. You always knew when the pan had run dry, too! =)) What a smell!
