AFPT in search?
-
Hi everyone!
I'm trying to understand how the AFPT in the horse search works... I found a few things searching on the forums and trying different search combinations but I'm still confused about why some horses have it show up and some don't.
It seems like maybe there is a minimum number of foals needed for it to show up; is it different for mares and stallions?
I have this stallion who has had 11 foals this year (10 still existing) but he has no AFPT listed:

Is there a higher minimum number of foals for stallions, or do they need foals born in more than one season to have it show up? Or does it get updated when the year rolls over?
I found one mare on HJ2 who has an AFPT listed, but no foals for her exist, I assume they were sold back to the game but the AFPT persists?

(I couldn't find an example on this server, apologies for the cross-server link)
I did find a mare who had an AFPT of 9.8 and only one foal (who had a 9.8PT) but I can't find her again... but I assume she had some other foals who no longer exist and it's a coincidence that her single remaining foal has the same PT as her AFPT? I'll look for her again and post a link if I can find her.
Sorry if these are dumb questions and I'm missing something obvious - I'm just returning after being away for a few years so I'm still catching up on everything that's changed!
Thanks :) -
You have to open their page before the AFPT updates. If you dont see the AFPT in the search after opening their page, do a hard refresh of the searched page.ID 195859

Here's the statement from the FAQ/User Guide:
How does a stallion or mare get on the Best Producers leaderboards?
Stallions need 10 foals to get ON the leaderboard, and after that the top 25 foals count towards the ranking. So the more foals, the better his chances of moving to a higher ranking.
Mares need 3 foals gets them ON the leaderboard, and the top 10 foals count towards her ranking
A horse needs to have had a foal in the past 2 breeding seasons, aka a living yearling, or a two year old, to qualify

Thanks Maribo - that makes sense and I'm able to see some now that I couldn't before!
And thanks ConfluenceStable, do those foal numbers carry over to the AFPT listings in the search, too? If yes that answers all my questions, I think :)
Thank you both, I appreciate the help!
