That's happened to me a few times. When the horse was being created, the create a horse page didn't fully load to the point where it generated genetics for the horse, so this horse has no genetics. The game labels it as an error and spays/gelds the horse automatically. I have actually bred mares that had this genetic error before the game altered them and their foals came out with exclamation points in place of the missing genes and for some reason the game thought they had ice.

Thank you for your offer and assistance, but I am currently reaching the "own 5 altered horses" achievement. I will probably not be showing her. Unlike my other spayed mare, Freya placed 9th and 10th in her first two shows. I appreciate your prompt response and the hard work you put into this complex game.
