I do not want to sell him by any means. Yet I can't reset the price to 0
It appears to reset, then when I look at the horse again, he's back to 100,000
Is there any way I can keep him hidden so no one can buy him?

Can you post a link? He might not actually be for sale. The sale price box automatically "suggests" the most recently listed price for each horse, even if they're not for sale. For example, look at the control panel of any horse you've recently purchased. The sale price box should say the price for which you purchased that horse. I don't know if there is a specific purpose for this particular feature, but I like it for when I temporarily remove a horse from the sales list - I don't have to put my intended price in the notes, it's just automatically there and I can relist the horse for the same price with the touch of one button.

Not For Sale 130815

I checked a couple more horses, it did the same thing (except different amounts) and also tried rebooting my computer, that didn't help.

A couple of weeks ago, a person did buy him at 100,000 but was kind enough to let me buy him back. I'm very very sure if he was for sale I must have done it in my sleep or something, I've been trying to find other horses similar for sale but no luck so far.

Well, I just tried it out. Set the sale price of a horse to 25000, refreshed the horses main page, went back to control and set price to zero, went to main page and refreshed, then went back to the control tab and his price was back to 25000

I went to his page and there is no button to buy him. I think it's just the sale price box "previous price" feature.

Sounds like you are confusing the price in the box with thinking he is actually for sale. If a horse does not have sale option on the main page then it is not for sale.

For future reference
The section titled: Your Horse is not for sale!

1. A horse is not for sale, unless it says, on the horses main page, "This horse is for sale and costs xxx HBs". The For Sale and For Breeding boxes on the horses Control Panel page will show the last sale/breeding price that was set for the horse, but unless you click the "Place this horse for sale/public breeding, only you will see those numbers.
