Dapples! They show up with some colors. Not sure what genes cause them in the gamePost edited by Starstruck2 at 2022-04-04 20:20:31Starstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest

That horse has dapples due to the silver gene (Z in the gene test).Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses in all the fancy colors.

As Lake said, in this case, silver. They are pretty common with the darker champagnes. Sooty+ will cause them. Some of the dark browns and buckskins have dapples too. Generally speaking, they are more noticeable on darker coat colors.
Here's one of my champagnes. I think these may technically be reverse dapples though?

Sometimes genes cause them like how grey, champagne, and other light colored horses get them often, in this case it's silver and I've also noticed with my horses my black mare will get them during the summer when the grass comes in, and could possibly be because of the sun, my others (the bay and chestnut horses) will get them if on everyday grain and shed out I only have one bay mare who will get dapples on her butt no matter the situationPost edited by BarnRaised at 2022-04-05 05:21:18

Yep! Silver and S+ (and a couple other restricted/licensed genes I think) can cause dappling :)I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!
