Colouring Question
-
My Golden Boy has a strawberry-blonde tail. However, his mane appears flaxen. Is this uncommon?
Thank you,
Songstress

He looks like a standard champagne to me. He does have one flaxen gene that probably adds to the lightening of his mane and tail both. Lots of times there are just really subtle variations in shades just like there are in real life!

It’s the champagne gene. Flaxen is only expressed when homozygous recessive (f/f) :)I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!Thanked by 1Songstress
