I love appies, and I've been breeding them in the game for years, but I still have a few questions about their genetics.

Is appy spot size controlled by hidden genetics? I know there's an appy spot size regulator gene in the game, but apart from that, can I select for larger spots in my appies and have it breed true? I really like the big spots on this girl, and I noticed most of my Morel babies come out with big spots, so I wondered if it was heritable:

Only a couple have smaller spots like this. Is that something I can consistently breed away from?

What genes, hidden or testable, cause an appy to varnish? Is Evergreen Boughs the only foundation that won't varnish, or just the only one guaranteed not to varnish? Is there a chance a regular create could happen to not carry for varnish? I've noticed that spots don't varnish, or maybe they just don't varnish as fast. Is there a way for the spots to always keep the color? It looks like most of the oldest appies in the game are completely white, but there are a handful like this one that have kept their spots and aren't Evergreen Boughs or descended from them:

Is PATN2 searchable by searching for horses that don't carry - blanket size and then scanning for het PATN1 horses? I noticed when looking for homozygous PATN1 horses in my barns that some of them are only het. Is the - they carry actually hidden PATN2? Here's a search, you can see a few of them aren't homozygous for PATN1:
