Exc Perfect Black HH no shares. >Closed
-
I got an Exc Perfect Black HH, with 6 to breed, but there were 0 shares. What did I do wrong?
And during the blackout, should a foal come out Blue Roan?
Hmm, and only 12 hours left, not 24.
I should clarify this, it's a bit confusing. Got an Exc Perfect black for my day's create a horse, that was the one that had no extra creates. It was black.
I rolled the HH. and it came out not black. but the Blackout says they will all be black. This one is not black, it's Smokey Blue Roan Splash. I'm confused, I thought the announcement on the create a horse page meant all horses would be black.Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2022-05-01 00:27:38 -
Someone already used it. You would have only had 5 creates since it was Rank 5. You had 6 because you got the 1 share bonus you can get from sharing a Rank 5 HH :)I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!

Odd... I've never had that happen before within minutes of creating it, I did a gene test to find out why it wasn't black. It was blue roan even before I posted it. Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean.
Oh, and the same thing with my Exc Perfect Black HH. no bonus creates even before I posted it.Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2022-04-22 10:22:46 -
you can't see the dun, only the blue, which is a dilution of black. nice colt

So this is kind of like a Blue Merle in dogs?
-
No, it's roan, which is a mixture of white hairs throughout the base coat. On black it's called blue roan because it looks blue from a distance. There's no such gene as dapples or merle in horses as there is in dogs.
This horse would have been a buckskin roan dun splash as the herd helper says, but because of the blackout event, the agouti (bay in this case) allele and the dun were removed, leaving just roan, cream, and splash still taking effect from the herd helper. The horse is a smokey black (black with cream) because the cream isn't removed by the blackout, but the bay was (bay with cream would have made it buckskin as the herd helper says).Thanked by 1fiddleroo -
Thank you, I think I understood that :)
