Types Of splashes and Whites ?
-
What do each types of splashes look like? I seen on the lethal combo chart that there are splash 1 2 and 3.
What does W1 W2 and W3 look like? Thank you :) -
I think there's not much difference in the looks of the three splashes, but I'm not much of an expert. Please note that the expression of splash is governed by the amount of white factor. More WF equals more white, of course.
My daughter thinks that Splash 2 gives more white for a given level of white factor than Splash 1.
Splash 1 gives more white when homozygous than when heterozygous and when combined with either Sp2 or Sp3, which are safe combos. Sp 2 and 3 are homozygous lethal and lethal in combination with each other.

Heterozygous Splash 1, light WF

Heterozygous Splash 2, light WF
Heterozygous Splash 2, extensive WF

I don't have any Splash 3 horses at all.
Like Splash, the amount of white that the various dominant white mutations give is controlled by the horse's white factor, but each of these has its own distinctive look, in the game. Here are some examples, all heterozygous white, of course.
White 4, large WF

White 3, large WF

White 2, light WF
White 1, medium WF
This one is from my H&J2 stable.

This is how a splash 3 horse looks like:

Hard to tell the difference isn't it?
Splash 3 is considered very rare. Ammit gave away some straws to the foundation splash 3 horse Lupin the Third, to celebrate the creation of 3 million horses! Don't shoot me if I'm wrong but all horses that have splash 3 descent from Lupin the Third, since it couldn't/can't be purchased or GMT's.
