Bootstrap horses for sale - breeding cap quality
  • Did you know that there is a breeding cap in the game? A cap that you cannot get past without boosting. To find that cap line I bred two double boosted horses together and their foals (with some exceptions) are right at the breeding cap.

Anyway, I need to cut down on how many mares I have. These ladies tested as good as my cap mares (anything less than that gets snipped automatically), so they are right at the cap or within a couple percent of the cap. However they don't meet my PT requirements. Instead of snipping them I decided to offer them for sale. They will be perfect to test your lines and see where they fall, as well as be exelent dams.

I also have a few cap colts available. They will also make excellent sires, and the ability to know where your lines fall. Or you could GMT them to a mare.

I am not selling many, I only have 8 listed currently.

    They will not pass SBA.

  • I ve never noticed a cap ; I have foals with PT scores over 13.5 and have never boosted. Am not sure how or where you got the info there was a "breeding" cap? Can you let me know please? If I missed something, I d like to fix it :) thanks !

  • Ammit has said it multiple times. Not positive where those posts are now. There was a big deal on the forest server a couple months back. It is where the line would be, if there was a fifth paper level above Star/Gold.

For my own lines once I reached a point where no matter what I did I could not get a superior foal. And I was testing everything, against everything. I was boosting horses like crazy and just couldn’t get a superior foal without boosting the horse. I ended up double boosting a mare to breed to my double boosted stallion. The resultant offspring were all worse then their parents, but aga all the rest of my bootstrap lines. Proving that they were at the breeding cap. Since if they weren’t all that boosting their parents had should have gotten them a better breeding ability then my other horses.

There is of course a couple percent of wiggle room at the top, since comparison testing isn’t exact.
