Auctioning old horses question
-
some older horses, when you enter them into the auction, give you a payout above and beyond the 2500 hb starting price. Others don't. I am still uncertain as to which do and which don't.
Thanks -
Age 10 and up start bidding at the lifetime payout amountStarstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest

i just tried entering a couple old horses and it said "bidding starts at 2500" other times it shows me a much higher number (with 10 year old foundation rescue horses for example)
-
Rescue horses may have been trained, but they have not been shown, so the number of points they can earn in the time remaining before they pass is going to be different. At least that's how I figure it. Doesn't mean it's correct!Post edited by ConfluenceStable at 2022-05-30 09:27:11

I won't say that this has made it any clearer to me. LOL

2500 is the minimum. If they are over 10 AND have a higher payout you get more. Otherwise just 2500Need to contact me? Read this first.

Ammit, thanks. NOW I get it.

Sorry, I was rushing and my answer wasn't totally clear, the very last number on the stats on the horse's front page, where it says "lifetime payout", is the amount you get for horses 10 and up. (Or 2500 minimum if they have a lower LTP).
That number from what I understand is how much money they would bring in between now and age 18 (based on the current daily income amount, so if they are gaining points well it could be more, and if they live past 18 they could bring in more). That's why if the horse is showing well and adding a good number of points each month people will generally keep them, whereas if they are showing poorly it's often more valuable to get their payout in a lump sum at auction and free up the stall for a higher earnerPost edited by Starstruck2 at 2022-05-30 11:07:24Starstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest
