The pretzel twist herd helper 'consists', multiple herd helpers, including the baroque herd helper.
The baroque herd helper triggers the following genes:
"All horses will be homozygous for pearl on a dense pigment base."
So baroque horses are hom prl with 1 copy of DP.

The pretzel twist HH triggers the following primary herd helpers (thus consisting of):
Baroque Homozygous Rec. Cream Heterozygous Sabino 1 Heterozygous Splash Heterozygous Appaloosa Exceptionally Perfect Brindle Breakout

So the baroque HH is just used as a 'shortcut' to get the DP into the pretzel twist herd helper. We didn't have a 'heterozygous DP herd helper' back then when the pretzel twist HH was made.

Thats why your pretzel twist only has a pretzel twist tattoo and not also a baroque tattoo, as it is a pretzel twist horse and not a baroque horse. The pretzel twist is an herd helper in itself (therefore having an unique tattoo), but is made up of multiple other herd helpers.

This herd helper triggers the following primary herd helpers:
Cherry Drop Homozygous Black Homozygous Bay Homozygous Sooty Homozygous Rec. Gray Exceptionally Perfect
This one uses the cherry drop herd helper as a base.
