Licenses don't add up?
-
I have several pages of Hrt, yet my list of genes I own says I have 1 only.
-
You only get the license when you purchase the gene (or I believe receive a foundation horse with that gene in the gift exchange), so if those horses aren't foundation horses you put the gene on then it wont count towards the license copy number

So the license count is only foundations?
-
yes, after you have the license you can own as many horses with that gene as you wantStarstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest

More specifically, the license count is for how many times you purchased the gene (including times when other players might have bought it for you). It has nothing to do with how many horses you own with the gene, foundation or otherwise.

Ah, thank you, Lynn, and everyone, now I finally understand, except for one question left. I sent a foundation to my recipient, and it warned me it was the last one, yet I still have the other horses with that gene bred in. Can I keep breeding that gene even if I no longer bought the gene?Post edited by OopsDotCom at 2022-06-15 17:01:59

You can't breed horses with the gene if you no longer have the license. You don't lose those horses with the gene that you already have, but you can no longer breed them until you buy the license again.Thanked by 1OopsDotCom

You did this exact same thing before. If you sent your last one, having read that warning, you are now sorry out of luck, and can no longer breed that gene. Those warnings mean something and should not just be ignored.Post edited by Ammit at 2022-06-15 21:08:19Need to contact me? Read this first.
