    this is my g3 midnight boy he had the black overlay when he was a foal but appears to have lost it. Should he be blacker he had 2 ice 19

    Try rerolling his picture or hit the refresh button on the main page? I've noticed sometimes my ponies lose tack on refreshed images, but they usually fix themselves after a reroll.

    @Wingedeagle midnight was the last ice gene to be added this past winter. Ammit added a neat new page to the limited edition genes sale page. (Upgrade - Buy Rare Genes - Link at the top of the page that says For a complete list of RGS alleles click here.) You can click this new link and see all the current genes. Midnight is on there. You need two copies of the gene for it to appear on a horse :)

    @Wingedeagle - Midnight is Ice 19. It only shows if your horse has two Ice alleles, whether the second allele is Ice 19 or one of the other Ices. If your horse has two Ice alleles and one of them is Ice 19, the word "Midnight" will be in your horse's color name.

    Homozygous Ice 19 - color name: Midnight Palomino

    WS F King of Perfection
    Heterozygous Ice 16 and Ice 19 - color name: Midnight Classic Champagne Ice Onyx

    WS 2 Perfect Outline
    Heterozygous Ice 19 - color name: Red Onyx
    Perfect Outline has only one copy of Ice 19 and no other Ice alleles, so it doesn't show on his coat or say Midnight in his name.
