New Appy Hour Obsession

Well, I think I've found something new to breed for down the line :)) These grey amber champagne dun leopards are soooo pretty. I love the gradient of the spots. Does anyone have a breeding program with this colour? I'm curious what they look like as they grey further.

My Morel line is based on that! No gray though, but the idea of a spotted gradient. I especially like dun and ND1 together. I'd love to get some spot regulator into this line, and I'm thinking of doing the same thing with a gray champagne line (if I can afford the pasture space to start another project.) Here are a few of my favorites:

And I actually caught appy hour this week! Yay! I almost always forget and miss it, even when I set an alarm. Last week I only caught the tail end and I had some HHs I really wanted to make during it. -
What a perfect name for a line too, those big appy spots really resemble that ruffled texture of morel holes(?).
I was trying to start a D/nd1 line before life happened and I disappeared for a while, they have such a dramatic effect on the dorsal area. I can see how that would be perfect for making a gradient. Beautiful colours, thanks for sharing :DPost edited by Heartwood at 2022-07-08 15:48:02ID: 247225

I've got a ND1/D line. I took LP out a long time ago because of the vanishing rate. Since then that has been updated to be adjustable, but I just haven't added it back. The main studs don't show a lot of variation, but the line does down the generations...

Yeah, varnishing is always a bit scary for the pixel ponies. Still don't really understand how all of the new genes effect everything, but it's good to hear that there's more control over it now! They are all super gorgeous, I never would have guessed that the last girl was actually liver red dun, mushroom and nd1 have made her such a lovely soft grey :xID: 247225
